The original and still the best lemon lime drink around. Mountain Dew is often imitated but never duplicated. It's competitors such as Mello Yellow, Surge, and others have come and gone, but the Dew still remains supreme!
Mountain Dew is the #1 beverage for the midwest united states. Originally marketed as a hill billy drink for the south, Mountain Dew thrives in the North. In fact, in some southern states you become hard pressed to find a cold Dew. Everything down there is Dr. Pepper and Coke. What are these people thinking? Come on southern states, we need you to drink more Dew. Dew has many promotions that require you to save your bottle caps. And No, I don't have any free dew codes for you! |

Dew Pledge
I pledge allegiance to the drink that has quenched all my thirst needs..
I will allow no imitation to pass through my lips.
I promise to learn at the feet of Dew drinkers that have gone before me, and to pass that knowledge on to a New Generation of Dew drinkers.
A word on Yellow 5
Mountain Dew also contains tartrazine ("FD&C Yellow No. 5" in the US), which could lead to allergic reactions in some people. This has also led to an urban legend that the Yellow No. 5 in Mountain Dew reduces the sperm count of male drinkers. This is, however, a myth. Mountain Dew Ingredients:
